According to Jon Heyman of MLB Network, the Mets have reached an agreement with third-round pick, RHP Matthew Allan out of Seminole High School in Sanford, Florida.

Allan, 18, was widely considered a top-20 draft prospect in this year’s class, but was committed to the University of Florida as a part of the class of 2023.

Allan’s price-tag was first reported at around $4 Million after he had been linked to the Cubs before the draft, but the reported demand has been steadily dropping. Latest reports have his demands between $2.5M and $3.0M.

The Mets have roughly $2,523,830 left to spend on their draft picks before they face a second round of penalties from the MLB.

First rounder Brett Baty and second rounder Josh Wolf have already signed with the Mets as have the seniors taken rounds four through ten.

We will update you with the figures of the contract when they come out.
