The Mets will have have a solid representation in Sunday afternoon’s Futures Game, as top prospect Amed Rosario and catcher Tomas Nido are set to play on behalf of the organization.

Right-hander Brett Honeywell from the Rays organization will get the start on the mound.
The game, which will be played at Marlins Park in Miami, begins at 4 PM ET, and can be seen on MLB Network and MLB.com (in addition, both the U.S. and World squads will have their batting practice streamed live on Facebook, beginning at 1 PM ET).
Rosario, who is playing in his second Futures Game, is representing his home country of the Dominican Republic, while Nido will represent Puerto Rico, where he was born and lived until his high school years. The Mets have had at least two players from the organization in the game each year since 2011. In 2010, Jeurys Familia was the lone representative.



Great to see Rosario hitting third in a great lineup.
Guerrero Jr. might be a little green for this event, but certainly an honor.

I wonder what spot he will hit once he’s entrenched in the ML. I think he’d be a good #2 hitter. Would be a good mix of speed & extra base power in front of the RBI guys like Conforto, Cespedes & hopefully Smith. Although I think Smith will make a living in 5-6 spot.
