Sacramento River Cats (7-12) 11, Las Vegas 51s (10-10) 1 Box Score

Not much went right for the 51s in this one. Smith drove in the only run and is slashing .342/.388/.506 on the season. Cecchini got on base twice today, hopefully snapping out of his mini-slump. Rosario also had 2 errors on the day, one throwing and one fielding.

Boscan pitched well and has not given up an earned in 3 of his 4 starts. Roseboom and Goeddel did not help the 51s’ chances to win this game. The two combined to only recorded 4 outs but gave up 10 runs (8 earned) in that time.

Binghamton Rumble Ponies (8-8) 4, Akron Rubber Ducks (8-10) 3 Box Score

Taylor continues to hit well for the Rumble Ponies. The 25 year old is slashing .364/.440/.409 thus far. Guillorme continues to get on base. He has reached safely in 15 of the 16 games. Nido has struggled so far this season but hopefully this two hit game wakes him up.

Hand made this start after beginning the year at AAA. He gave up a run in the seventh before departing. Taylor picked up the win and Baldonado got 5 outs for the save. Baldonado has been impressive this season, striking out 13 batters in 9.2 innings.

Lakeland Flying Tigers (11-8) 9, St. Lucie Mets (7-12) 5 Box Score

McNeil made his season debut for the St. Lucie Mets and it was fairly impactful. McNeil spent last season at St. Lucie before heading to Binghamton for a late-season stint. He could be back there soon. Urena is now slashing .344/.468/.516, currently fourth in the Florida State League in OPS.

McIlraith only recorded one out before leaving this one with an apparent injury to his side. Missigman came in and struggled. Brantley also struggled, giving up 3 insurance runs to the Flying Tigers late in the game.

Asheville Tourists (10-10) 2, Columbia Fireflies (11-9) 0 F/11 Box Score

The Fireflies were shutout by the Tourists in this 11 inning affair. Tebow had the lone extra base-hit for the Fireflies, who have had trouble on offense since their fast start.

Llanes went the first 6 and received the no-decision due to the lack of scoring behind him. Huertas went as long as he could in relief before giving up 2 runs in the top of the 11th. The two pitchers only had 3 strikeouts combined the night after Jordan Humphreys struck out 12.
