Greg Peavey

Last Wednesday, Greg Peavey of the B-Mets recorded his first shutout in professional baseball and it was an absolute beauty. He showed impeccable control by not walking a batter in any of the nine innings he pitched. He also allowed just two hits and struck out six.

It looks as if Peavey is turning a corner after a rough start to the season. He’s thrown two gems in his last two starts and has lowered his ERA on the season to 3.16.

The 25-year-old Vancouver, WA native is not a big strikeout pitcher as he has just 25 of them in 31.1 innings pitched this season but he’s shown that he has very good control, allowing just seven walks. His start last Wednesday proved that when he is on, he is very efficient with his pitches and can pitch deep into ball games.
