Congratulations to Matthew Bowman for being named the MMN Pitcher of the Week.

Bowman has put together a string of quality starts as of late.

On June 17th, he went six innings, allowing just a run on three hits, two walks and four strikeouts, en route to his fifth victory of the season.

On June 22nd, he went even further, tossing seven innings. He wasn’t quite as efficient in this one, allowing eight hits and walk, while striking out only three and receiving the loss, but he still managed to eat the necessary innings.

Bowman has put together a pretty good season so far for Binghamton. His ERA on the season sits at a respectable 3.78 and he’s allowed 79 hits in 72.2 innings, but does have 68 strikeouts and only 21 walks.

Matt Bowman won’t wow you with his stuff, but his pitch ability is what stands out.
