Triple-A and Double-A both have their All-Star Break until Thursday

High-A League

Clearwater Threshers 9 (Philadelphia 50-37), St. Lucie 8 (44-41) Box Score

Becerra with another extra base hit. Nido is quietly putting up a very good year in high-A, and solidifying a good spot on the top catchers list.

Reyes cannot find consistency as a starter, and links a couple great starts with another outing like yesterday’s. Paez should be moved up, he’s dominating this level. Corey Taylor blew the game with a run allowed in the eighth and then the ninth.

Short-Season-A League

Brooklyn Cyclones 6 (11-13), Aberdeen Ironbirds 5 (Baltimore, 10-14) Box Score

Brooklyn came back from behind to score two in the ninth and another in the eleventh.

Crismatt rebounded nicely after giving up three in the first inning. Huertas earned the win despite giving up the lead. Joseph Zanghi, a flamethrowing righty signed as an undrafted free agent, struck out the side to close out the game.

Rookie League

Danville Braves 7 (8-10), Kingsport Mets 2 (7-11) Box Score

Aybar is a 70 type runner, signed at 20, with intriguing skills, but is much more raw than most players his age.

Humphreys has his worst start of the year. Holderman, 2016 9th rounder, has kept the opposition scoreless in relief. He will likely revert to starting next year in Columbia.

Complex Level Rookie League

GCL Mets 3 (9-6) GCL Astros 2 (7-9) Box Score

Lindsay finally returned and played five innings before being lifted for a pinch runner, Ranfy Adon. He is due to join Brooklyn later this week. Uriarte is a little too young for this level so far. Thankfully he has some time.

Regnault is rehabbing an injury and should return to the Binghamton rotation or pen soon. Torres has been excellent as a starter this year with 16 strikeouts in 14 innings.

DSL Mets1 12 (15-16), DSL Cubs 4 (15-17) Box Score

Guerrero has shown some speed this year with his sixth stolen base of the year, but still hasn’t learned how to leverage some of that dormant power.

  • Ramon Laguere RHP 4.2 IP 6 H, 4 ER, 3 BB, 2 K 2.97 ERA

A pitcher from an unconventional baseball place like Haiti always intrigues me.

DSL Mets2 10 (13-19), DSL Rays2 5 (12-19) Box Score

Gimenez returned from an undisclosed injury in fashion, hitting his tenth and eleventh doubles of the year. Beracierta, who is young, but powerful, hit his first professional homer. I guess you can say Newton is the Dutch connection…
