Minors Notes
- Mets first overall pick Justin Dunn is moving from the bullpen to a starting role.
- Lefty starter Thomas Szapucki has been promoted to Brooklyn, making their starting rotation more impressive.
- Baseball America has re-ranked their top 10 Mets prospects.
Yeah the Lucie Mets were apparently no match for yankees lefty james reeves and his junk throwing. All kinds of swings on balls in dirt.
I heart david thompson swing
Is Rainy Lara finally going to be tried as a relief pitcher or is this just a one time thing? It seems that he’s just a depth guy as a starter, but maybe he might have some future as a reliever. As for Montero, I don’t know what to say about him. It used to be, you would expect him to have less than 6 walks a month. Now six walks a game? I’d have to think that it’s a confidence issue. There doesn’t seem to be anything injury related. I really hope that he can figure it out, for his sake as well as for the teams sake. When Harvey went down, this could’ve been his big chance, but he’s just so messed up right now. In brighter news, Smith is hitting .385/.457/.725 in his last 25 games, which is incredible
Lara pitched in relief for Bingo once too, exactly where we have been screaming for him to be!
What happend on Brosher?
