Walker issued a walk in the third, and the Reading base runner advanced to second on a wild pitch. Walker retired the final 10 batters he faced, then exited the game after bunting a foul ball off his neck.
Mitchell replaced Walker in the 7th and pitched three perfect innings to close out the Binghamton no-hitter.

Just how they drew it up! Back to back to back hits by Mauricio, Baty, and Alvarez gets the Cyclones on the board! Let’s hope Francisco Alvarez’s big 2-RBI double will be the spark to get them back in it! @Metsmerized @Mets_Minors #Brooklyn #Cyclones #Mets #MetsTwittwr pic.twitter.com/ezjd3oiNIc

After the inning, Juan Uriarte replaced Alvarez, who was removed from the game as a precaution after being hit by a foul ball.
Breaking development here in Brooklyn: Francisco Álvarez was hit with a hard foul ball earlier in the game. He was down and hurting for a good period of time. After his clutch double he was replaced defensively. An injury to him is the last thing the Mets need. #Mets #MetsTwitter pic.twitter.com/nb5W4PBSBR
