Daytona (55-54) 4, St. Lucie (60-50) 3   Box Score

Despite an RBI triple from Jacob Zanon in the first inning, and a go-ahead two-run homer in the fourth, the Mets couldn’t come up with enough to win as they did not record a hit after the fourth inning. Rodriguez has been hot his last three games, going 5-for-9 with a homer, two doubles, and two walks.

Columbia’s game was suspended in the bottom of the seventh with the game tied 2-2. The game will resume at 2:05 ET on Sunday.   Box Score

DSL Nationals (15-33) 9, DSL Mets1 (24-23) 8   Box Score

Down 9-4 in the ninth, the Mets1’s comeback attempt fell just short. Four players each collected two hits in the loss.

Silverio’s severe control problems continued to plague him, with three more walks in Saturday’s outing. Sosa pitched four strong scoreless innings in long relief despite not striking out a batter.

DSL Cardinals Red (20-34) 16, DSL Mets2 (25-29) 3   Box Score

Despite the loss, all nine players in the starting lineup recorded at least one hit for the Mets2. They scored all three of their runs in the second inning, helped out with a triple by Samuel Marte and a double by Wilker Velasquez.

  • RHP Ronny Rincones (1-0, 1.55 ERA): 5.0 IP, 4 H, 0 R, BB, 7 K

  • RHP Martin Rodriguez (3-2, 6.59 ERA): 1.0 IP, 6 H, 5 R, 4 ER, BB, K
  • RHP Moises Gonzalez (0-0, 0.00 ERA): 0.1 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 BB, K

Rincones had the best performance of his very young professional career, striking out seven and walking only one over five scoreless innings. The bullpen was ambushed however, as the Mets2 had to call on outfielder Gonzalez to get the final out, and Gonzalez struck out the only batter he faced.
