Syracuse only needed one run to win their third consecutive game in Rochester on Sunday. Their lone run came on an RBI bunt single by Nick Meyer in the fifth inning. He finished 3-for-4 with a double. Sebastian Elizalde was 1-for-4 with a walk and a stolen base. David Thompson was 0-for-3 with a walk and a strikeout. Quinn Brodey stole his sixth base of the year, bringing him him to a solid 6-for-7 on steal attempts this season.

The St. Lucie Mets cushed the Daytona Tortugas on Sunday. As a team, they scored 15 runs, had 6 hits, and drew 18 walks. Brandon McIlwain hit his first home run of the year and Shervyen Newton hit his second. Newton also struck out twice and was St. Lucie’s only starting player who didn’t draw a walk. Jaylen Palmer drew four walks and stole his fourth base of the year, bringing him to 4-for-5 on steal attempts. Palmer played third base. He has been alternating between third base, second base, and center field.
