MMN Recap: Fireflies Blast Three Home Runs In Victory

Nimmo is only 4 for 41 in his ten games with Las Vegas, but has drawn seven walks in that span.

Knapp allowed a career-high 14 hits, while not striking out a single batter for the second start in a row. Over his last two starts, Knapp has given up 22 hits and 12 earned runs over 9.2 innings, although he has only walked one batter. Baldonado retired all five batters he faced in his second AAA appearance.

Binghamton Rumble Ponies (18-13) vs. Akron Rubberducks (15-17)

Binghamton’s game against Akron was rained out. The game will be made up on July 17 as a doubleheader.

Paez has shown impressive power so far this season, with 17 of his 30 hits going for extra bases, including five home runs. Brandon Brosher also had a home run in the game.

After having control issues early in the season, Taylor has now had two straight starts where he has gone six innings and only walked one batter. Simon has thrown three scoreless innings in each of his two appearances with Columbia.

The St. Lucie Mets had the day off.
