Syracuse (34-35) 7, Gwinnett (37-31) 6  Box Score

The Mets offense combined for eleven hits, six of which went for extra bases, in their come-from-behind victory against the Stripers. Herrera has been hitting for an incredible amount of power so far in June and now has a .450 ISO with five home runs in 12 games for the month, Guillorme has also been excellent so far this month, hitting .356/.455/.422 with an 8:6 BB:K ratio.

After a brief three start tune-up with St. Lucie following his signing with the Mets, Santana made his first Triple-A in Sunday’s game. Overall, he struggled with his control as he walked five batters and threw just 51 out of 91 pitches for strikes. Top relief prospect Ryley Gilliam has been roughed up following his promotion to Triple-A and he allowed three runs (including two home runs) without retiring a batter in this game. Zamora has not allowed a run since being demoted to Syracuse at the end of May.

Binghamton (33-29) vs. Altoona (34-31)

The Rumble Ponies’ game against the Curve was cancelled due to rain. The game will not be made up during the 2019 season.

Lexington (37-32) 10, Columbia (24-42) 1  Box Score

It was a rough game the Fireflies’ offense as the team was held to just one run on four hits, all of which were singles. The lone run scored on a wild pitch in the seventh inning. Vientos has been in a huge slump for the last month, hitting just .233/.244/.302 in June, but showed some signs of breaking out in this game. Somewhat unbelievably, the walk he drew in this game was his first since May 12, indicating that he may have been overaggressive for the duration of his slump.

Woods-Richardson started this game for Columbia and came very close to registering his third straight scoreless outing. Unfortunately, while he was pulled with no runs on the board, both of the runners he left on base would ultimately come around to score. While this wasn’t Szapucki’s best performance, it is encouraging to see him throw a season-high 45 pitches in this outing.

Aberdeen (2-1) 4, Brooklyn (2-1) 3  Box Score

The Cyclones offense was held without a run until the eighth inning, but their late inning comeback effort fell just short. Just three players in the lineup had a hit in the game, but they did have more opportunities to score as they were able to draw seven walks. Unfortunately, they went just 1-for-7 with runners in scoring position.

Cleveland struggled in his first start of the season allowing three runs without striking out a batter. The poor strikeout to walk ratio has been a common problem throughout his career: his career K:BB ratio is just 45:61). Ragan, the Mets 15th round pick from the recent  draft, pitched a perfect inning in his professional debut.
