Mason Williams reached base twice, hit an RBI single, and scored twice on two different wild pitches. Sebastian Elizalde reached base twice via a walk and an infield single. David Thompson had two hits, a ground ball single and an RBI line drive single. Cody Bohanek stole his second base of the year and Drew Jackson stole his third.

Jesus Reyes got the start for Syracuse and gave up four runs in 5 1/3 innings. Arodys Vizcaino and Sam McWilliams each had scoreless relief appearances. Vizcaino struck out the only batter he faced to get the final out of the sixth inning. It was McWilliams’ first scoreless outing since May 15th. His K% is now 22.7% and his BB% is 18.2%.

Binghamton managed only four singles with no extra base hits on Wednesday. Jeremy Vasquez, Mark Vientos, Desmond Lindsay, and Hayden Senger each had one hit apiece. Vientos’ was a line drive to left field and Lindsay’s was a ground ball to center.

Luc Rennie got the start for Binghamton, giving up two runs in two innings. Cole Gordon relieved him after a two-hour rain delay and pitched well, throwing the final four innings and only giving up one run.

St. Lucie grinded out a win despite only getting four hits, all of them singles. Shervyen Newton had a another tough night. His K% now sits at 42.7% through his first 89 plate appearences. He did manage to draw a walk-off bases loaded walk though. Warren Saunders and Ranfy Adon each had RBI hits. Adon also stole a base. He’s now 6-for-9 on the season in that category.
