Chacin has been excellent of late, pitching at least six innings while allowing two or fewer runs in four consecutive starts. He’s struck out 17 in that span while walking only four.

Carlos Dominguez recorded the only hit off of Bailey Ober in a rehab start. Chase Estep led off the seventh with a single but was quickly erased on a double play.

Douglas Orellana backed up Tidwell’s performance with three scoreless innings of his own, scattering two hits and two walks thanks to four strikeouts. However, Carlos Ocampo would implode in the seventh inning, allowing five runs in two-thirds of an inning in the 5-0 loss.
