- 2B Ruben Tejada: 0-for-5, 2 K, .393/. 465/.541
- 3B Danny Espinosa: 2-for-4, Run, 2 K, .277/.356/.495
The utility infielder, Espinosa, has been heating as of late. He’s hitting .359 over his last three games with three homers.
- RHP Casey Coleman (1-6, 5.24 ERA): 4 IP, 5 H, 2 ER, BB, 4 K
- RHP Zach Lee (3-2, 6.07 ERA): 4 IP, 4 H, 4 ER, 2 BB, 2 K
- LHP Ryan O’Rourke (0-1, 3.55 ERA): 1 IP, 2 H, BB, K
Coleman is better suited for the bullpen though the Mets need for starters keeps him in the rotation.
Binghamton (31-22) 7, Harrisburg (36-22) 5 Box Score
- SS Luis Carpio: 3-for-5, 2 Runs, .227/.370/.386
- 3B Will Toffey: 0-for-3, BB, K, .241/.393/.369
Carpio has shown signs of heating up and his three hit game and .370 OBP are proof of that. He is still walking more than he is striking out in Binghamton so his season has definitely been a positive. Toffey ranks sixth in the league OBP race and he’s hitting .323 over his last 10.
- RHP Mickey Jannis (2-1, 4.73 ERA): 4.1 IP, 10 H, 5 R (4 ER), 2 BB, 2 K
- RHP Adonis Uceta (3-2, 1.75 ERA): 2.2 IP, H, 2 K
- RHP Matt Blackham (2-1, 2.59 ERA): 2 IP, 4 K
Fellow MMO writer and the better Mickey, Mickey Jannis, just did not have the knuckleball going today. Uceta is pitching like he was in 2017 again, a very nice development. Blackham has walked only one over his last five outings. He has a 37-to-10, K-to-BB ratio this season. His stuff is certainly impressive.
Roster News: Shortstop Andres Gimenez was put on the IL, he was hit by a pitch in hand/wrist area on Sunday.
St. Lucie (29-29) 7, Tampa (24-34) 3 Box Score
- 3B Blake Tiberi: 2-for-3, 2 Runs, 2 RBI, .278/.352/.376
- 2B Carlos Cortes: 1-for-3, Run, 2 RBI, BB, .264/.332/.421
Cortes has slowed a bit after a blistering hot May. Still, he’s seeing the ball well as exhibited by his home run last night. He has a lot of fans in the organization so expect him to move up sooner rather than later.
- RHP Tony Dibrell (4-3, 2.05 ERA): 5.1 IP, 5 H, 3 BB, 5 K
- RHP Carlos Hernandez (1-2, 7.81 ERA): 1.2 IP, 2 H, 3 ER, BB, K
- LHP Blake Taylor (2-2, 2.49 ERA): 2 IP, 3 K
Dibrell has been a bright spot for the St. Lucie rotation. His ERA ranks fourth in the league. A few more strikeouts and less walks would be better though, due to his maturity and relatively higher prospect ranking. He has 25 walks and 51 strikeouts in 57 innings. Roughly a 2:1 K-toBB ratio.

- RF Freddy Valdez: 2-for-4, Run, HR, 4 RBI, K
Valdez hit his second homer of the young season. He’s by far the most intriguing prospect on the team and should be very fun to watch going forward.
