Syracuse Mets 3 (6-3), Pawtucket Red Sox 1 Box Score

Syracuse drew six walks, but only mustered five hits. Thankfully, Davis and Taijeron both went yard in the showing.

Gagnon has struck out eight in 10.2 innings so far. Bashlor needs to whittle away at his ERA and pitch well to get back to the major leagues. Peterson continues to be Mr. Consistent at Triple-A. Daniel Zamora and Jacob Rhame also threw scoreless innings.

Binghamton Rumble Ponies game was postponed due to inclement weather. The Rumble Ponies will play two on Saturday.

Florida Fire Frogs 10, St. Lucie Mets 7 (5-4) Box Score

Blake Tiberi is on a tear to start the year. St. Lucie had a lot to catch up to in a hurry, and they rallied in the fifth and sixth innings, scoring six runs. However, they fell short against Fire Frog pitchers. 2B/SS Manny Rodriguez added a triple, and catcher Nick Meyer added a hit and walk as well. The team was silenced in the final three innings, falling short of a comeback.

MMN folk hero Kyle Wilson had a dreadful night, giving up seven runs between the second and third innings. It seemed as though nothing was on. Yeizo Campos picked up the slack a little bit, while giving up a couple runs, but struck out seven. The pitching staff struck out 12 during the game.

Our own Ernest Dove provided a full recap and videos from the game.

Lexington Legends 8, Columbia Fireflies 4 (3-5) Box Score

The Fireflies faced Royals’ 2018 Collective Balance pick Kris Bubic, a top college lefty and were demolished by his savvy pitching. Mauricio and Uriarte both hit their first full-season extra base hits this game. Vientos clubbed his first full-season home run. The team however only tallied five hits and struck out 15 times.

Szapucki is starting to come back, and slowly from Tommy John Surgery. Vilera had an uncharacteristic outing, walking four in three innings. Oxford has eight strikeouts in five innings.
