Brandon Nimmo returned to the St. Lucie Line-up after he was pulled from the game on Tuesday when he suffered what the Mets labeled a sprained left ankle.

In the St. Lucie 3-2 victory, he finished 1 for 4, with a run scored and his ninth stolen base on the season. That is a good sign that his ankle is not much of an issue.

Glad to see him right back out there.

Adam Rubin of ESPN NY reports that Brandon Nimmo suffered an apparent leg injury in Tuesday’s St. Lucie’s loss to Brevard County.

The center fielder hustled to cut off a double by Nathan Orf in right-center in the third inning and came up hobbling. After getting the throw back into the infield, he continued to jump on one leg to the warning track.

Rubin adds that, Nimmo was removed from the game, but managed to walk off the field under his own power.

More to come on Nimmo’s status….
