It’s here! The day we’ve been waiting for, opening night for the Minor Leagues with all four of the Mets full season affiliates teams lined up and ready to go. We will update the lineups as they come, but have the starters and links to the box scores for you now. As well as ways you can listen to them on the radio, or if you have MiLB.tv, you can watch the games there. We will have recaps after the game.

Game Notes: Dilson Herrera will be held to designated hitter duties to start the season, due to shoulder soreness…The 51s are 15-18 (.455) all-time in their season openers, including 1-4 in their last five…Manager Wally Backman returns as manager for his 20th season in the Mets organization (nine as a player, 11 as a minor league manager)…Montero went 1-0 with a 5.87 ERA in two starts with the 51s last season…With the Mets, he made five appearances (one start), and went 0-1 with a 4.50 ERA…Backman will hand the ball to Seth Lugo for game two, and Gabriel Ynoa will take the hill in game three, followed by Sean Gilmartin for the series finale on Sunday.

Game Notes: Gsellman will be making his fourth consecutive Opening Day start in the organization (BK ’13, SAV ’14, STL ’15)…Only three players will be eligible off the bench tonight (C Colton Plaia, IF Derrik Gibson, OF Maikis De La Cruz)…The B-Mets return four players from last year’s team (Carrillo, Johnson, Rainy Lara, Tyler Pill)…Binghamton is 14-10 all-time on Opening Day (6-6 at home)…The Mets went 11-11 in 25 games against the Fisher Cats in 2015…Pill will get the ball tomorrow in game two of the series, followed by LHP Kyle Regnault in game three, and Lara in game four.

Game Notes: The Fireflies will play the first game in team history on the road tonight…The home opener will be played on April 14 at Spirit Communications Park…The Fireflies announced on January 27 that Jose Leger would return as manager of the Mets’ Low-A affiliate…Leger managed the Savannah Sand Gnats to a 84-53 record a year ago, good for a first place finish in the first and second half…The Fireflies rotation is scheduled to include P.J. Conlon, Thomas McIlraith, Kevin Canelon, and Tyler Badamo, in addition to the Opening Day starter Ingram.
