Welcome to the first ever MMN game thread!
Awesome
Now I can begin my complaints about the two lineups we have so far. Becerra 9th? Romero 3rd?
Really only thing I like about the St Lucie lineup is Rosario 3
Guillerme at 2 is ok as well
I like Rosario in the 3 hole too. I wouldn’t have Champ hitting first until he proved he could get on base.
Holy shit. That’s a lot of work. Good job.
Like you said, all around a strange St. Lucie lineup.
Guillorme
Mora
Rosario
Becerra
Katz
Urena
Nido
Evans
Stuart
Thank you! We will be doing one every game night this year!
Must have missed Rosario starting in St Lucie. Wasnt he supposed to start in Bing?
Yup, that is exactly how I would do it.
yeah… 🙁
Mets said St. Lucie because of the cold Bingo April weather.
This is awesome. Thank you!
No prob, it was all of us.
I’ll be reading. Keep it up
Definitely, glad that some of the MMO faithful are joining us!
Looks like the weather is going to hold up for Binghamton tonight thankfully.
St. Lucie Mets manager Luis Rojas is away from the team, dealing with a family issue. Bobby Floyd will serve as the acting manager tonight.
Three pitches and a strike out for the first out of the season for Josh Prevost and the St. Lucie Mets!
Columbia lineup has been added.
Probably my favorite lineup so far.
Prevost struck out the first two batters but then gave up back-to-back two outs hits and the St. Lucie Mets are down 1-0 in the first inning.
This is a great addition.
Binghamton Mets game is in a delay currently.
Good to see you on here Michael.
Reports were that we had lost you here.
I always appreciate all your insight into the younger guys coming up.
Who is Romero?
Luis Guillorme walks for the first Mets minor league baserunner of the season!
Not surprising that Champ didnt get on. He runs like Hayes but hits like s**t.
At the first hit goes to Rosario.
How long do you think he will be in PSL before they move him to Bingy (presuming he hits)?
I think he might move up around June 1.
Lol, I definitely wouldn’t have batted him leadoff the first game.
Thank you, glad to be here still!
I think that would be the case too, assuming he hits like you said.
John Mora doubles in the first St. Lucie run of the season with two outs in the first inning, game now 1-1.
Prevost has some decent stats.
Do you think back end of the rotation guy or minor league filler?
Agreed. Stuart definitely has the speed, but his bat has declined tremendously.
Post updated with Las Vegas lineup. Reynolds at 3B, Rivera at 2B
Nimmo batting 9th.
B-Mets has been postponed.
Binghamton game has been postponed
The minor league FA keeping Rosario’s spot warm in Binghamton
New season same crap with Wally.
Josh Prevost with 6 strikeouts through 3 innings for St.Lucie but they trail 2-1.
He isnt a strikeout pitcher according to his career numbers.
Sinker guy that normally pitches to contact
Ivan Wilson flies out as the first batter in @ColaFireflies team history
Final line on Seton Hall product Josh Prevost: 3.2 IP, 6 H, 2 R (1 ER), 1 BB, 6 K, 77P-50S
Columbia Update: Runners on 1st and 2nd now for Charleston. 2 out
I think I’m one of the last ones still holding out hope on Montero.
Milton Ramos gets the force at 2nd to end the inning. Scoreless headed into the 2nd for Columbia.
Ramos looked incredibly smooth on the play
David Thompson gets the first hit in Columbia Fireflies history!
A pair of hits, but Acevedo (Charleston) strikes out the next 2. Still scoreless.
Back to back strikeouts for Ingram. Still scoreless.
Interested to see how Mr. Montero fares. Also on Dilly’s advancement and Bronx-native Rivera. This looks like a fun team to watch.
Great honor for the Mets 4th rounder last year.
Radio said he was hitting 96 MPH
Backman said they fixed a mechanical flaw and Montero is back to hitting 93/94 with his fastball.
I still think he has a chance if he starts throwing strikes again, helps that it seems like some velocty is back according to Backman.
I play Seton Hall Prep tomorrow!!!
Amed Rosario and Luis Guillorme turn their first double play of 2016! Get used to it!
They are going to be so good together, wish they had more games televised.
Good luck!
Gives Pedro a second chance at that lineup. lol
Hope it is like when he “fixed” TdA and not when he “fixed” Ike
31 year old filler that can play anywhere.
Thanks. Only a Freshman, so I don’t play their Varsity Team. One of the best programs in the state though.
Will depend on the development of his offspeed stuff since he doesn’t have an overpowering fastball. Slider is just okay right now.
Chase Ingram showing off a nasty curveball tonight for the Fireflies.
St. Lucie Mets take a 5-4 lead on a two-run double by Michael Katz that scores Rosario (2 singles) and Guillorme (2 singles, BB).
Should Champ Stuart really be starting? How many years does that guy get?
I would still start him but he shouldn’t be hitting leadoff that is for sure.
Great full season debut by Chase Ingram with 4 scoreless innings and 7 strikeouts.
Very cool nonetheless.
Ivan Wilson looking good in the outfield now only if he could make contact at the plate.
St. Lucie wins on a walk-off homerun by top position prospect Amed Rosario!
Nice start kid. You’ll be in Bing soon.
That he should be, further proof I shouldn’t question the Mets lol.
Montero hit 93 MPH in the first inning for Vegas, struck out two and allowed a unearned run. Monell tied the game with a RBI single.
Everytime I look at the box score, all I see is one more K lol
Then you’re going down! :^)
Most probably. But you gotta play the game!
You think the warm weather helped?
Just busting your balls, I went to school there.
They’re very good though. Yesterday, they had a Freshman throw 5 No-hit innings. Granted he’s 6’1 and 180 but still. Very dangerous team! I’m lucky I’m only on JV.
That’s good to hear. Yeah they’ve had a great program for as long as I can remember. You probably already know this, but Rick Porcello went there. Good basketball program too. Anyway, I’m getting nostalgic. Good luck tomorrow.
Thanks.

Nice Job Amed
Glad to see this site . I think it was smart for them to start Rosario in st lucie. Let him do well for 100 abs before advancing him. No need to rush him
I was totally against it at first but have warmed to the idea over the last week. He has never really had a great stretch offensively and I think that is what the Mets were hoping for sending him back to St. Lucie.
Don’t tell anyone but the wind was blowing out to right field a little yesterday.
Definitely frustrating considering all the talent he has.
