In advance of tonight’s game against the Milwaukee Brewers, the New York Mets have activated Jacob deGrom off the 10 day Injured List, and the team has recalled Corey Oswalt.

This is Oswalt’s second stint with the Mets this year. In his lone start, he allowed five earned in 3.2 innings against the Atlanta Braves. Since being sent back down, he made one start against the Pawtucket Red Sox. He picked up the win in that start allowing just two earned over seven innings.

Oswalt was scheduled to start for Syracuse tonight. No starter has been announced in his stead. That game is currently in a rain delay.

To make room for deGrom and Oswalt on the roster, the Mets have sent Luis Guillorme and Jacob Rhame to Triple-A Syracuse.

Currently, Rhame is facing a two game suspension because Major League Baseball determined he intentionally threw at Rhys Hoskins. Depending on the outcome of his appeal, Rhame would have to serve the suspension when and if he is recalled by the Mets.
