Arizona Fall League (AFL)

Surprise Saguaros (17-11) 10, Scottsdale Scorpions (12-16) 2 Box Score

Mazeika broke out of a 2-for-his-last-30 slump to provide all the offense in this game for the Scorpions. In the bottom of the fourth inning, after a Ali Sanchez double and a Luis Carpio walk, Mazeika lined one the other way into right field for a bases clearing triple to give the Scorpions their only two runs of the game.

Unfortunately, that would not be nearly enough as the bullpen gave up a total of ten runs in the fourth and fifth innings after starter Spencer Howard exited the game with a no-hitter intact. The loss is the Scorpions fifth in a row as they limped into the final game of the season today against the Mesa Solar Sox.
