St. Lucie Mets starters Kevin Smith and Tony Dibrell have both been promoted to Double-A Binghamton according to sources.

Dibrell, 23, finishes his year down in Advanced-A with 17 appearances (16 starts) totally 90.1 innings with 24 with 36 walks and 76 strikeouts. He has a 2.39 ERA and 1.21 WHIP.

My thoughts on Dibrell this season with St. Lucie were that I liked his offspeed pitches, throwing a low 90s FB that when kept down in the zone has been working for him all year at the level. Dibrell has a career-low 3.59 BB/9 and 0.20 HR/9.

His teammate Smith finishes his time in St. Lucie with 17 starts (totaling 85.2 innings) with a 3.05 ERA. At the time since his last outing he was leading the Florida State League with 102 strikeouts.

Smith, 22, is a pitcher able to utilize command of his low 90s FB and offspeed pitches to keep hitters off balance often. In past few weeks Smith has been continuing to make adjustments to his delivery and adding a two-seamer which has been working really well in recent starts.

Right-handed pitcher Tylor Megill and outfielder Wagner Lagrange have been promoted from Low-A Columbia Fireflies and heading to Advanced-A St. Lucie Mets as well according to my sources.
