Interesting that Burdick is the one that gets the call straight from Kingsport
Solo homer by Victor Cruzado gives the B-Mets a 1-0 lead in the 2nd inning.
Mickey Jannis has struck out four through three scoreless innings for Binghamton.
Mickey Jannis now has six strikeouts in five scoreless innings for the B-Mets who hold a 1-0 lead.
It is, they really missed the timing on Rosario. He should have been promoted when McNeil went down. Now in a mini slump, they probably want to wait for his bat to hear up before sending him north.
Probably didn’t want to mess with other schedules planned. So they just use an org filler guy. Though info had to guess which one of those would get the call to AA, I would have said Johnson
Mickey Jannis now has seven scoreless innings for Binghamton. Dominic Smith starts the bottom of the inning with a double.
Ricky Knapp has allowed only one hit and one unearned run through five innings for St. Lucie, they trail 1-0
B-Mets win on a walk-off infield single by LJ Mazzilli
RBI double by Tomas Nido gives St.Lucie a 2-1 lead in the 8th inning.
Fireflies have a 2-1 lead in the 7th. Another gem by Conlon.
What kind of prospect do you consider him?
What is his upside?
Conlon needs to be moved up,too as for him right now.
Upside is limited but I think he is currently a solid 5th starter/Longman prospect. Fastball 88-91 with good movement, plus changeup and a solid curve.
Poor man’s Gee?
On the day Knapp finds out he is pitcher of the week he has thrown 8 great innings. Allowed only an unearned run. St. Lucie up 2-1 in the 9th.
Becerra coming out of his mini-slump with three hits tonight.
Niese
Nimmo having a nice night with a double and triple in a 3-3 night so far
Against a lefty no less. Very good sign
Just curious, why the rush to bump Rosario up. He struggled offensively last year. He is super young,
Obviously Conlon seems ready for a promotion. It’s good to see nimmo hot. Hopefully he keeps it up
I would say he held his own on an aggressive assignment. I understand wanting to see a few things before promoting him, namely power and selectivity at the plate. Which he has since shown.
