News and Notes:
- 31st overall pick Anthony Kay was signed yesterday, but has a frayed UCL.
- Many Mets minor leaguers moved around yesterday, including pitchers Andrew Church and Rafael Montero being demoted.
- Mets minor leaguers Matt Oberste and Travis Taijeron were MVP’s of their respective All-Star Game.
- Michael Mayer had an excellent interview with first base prospect Dominic Smith.

I see Matt Oberste has been playing some 3B this year. Between Smith and Alonso, there’s not going to much of a chance in the MLB for him at 1st (unless they both bust, of course). The bat has always been pretty good. Any chance he can play 3B on a regular basis?
He has better than I expected there but I still don’t think it’s an everyday position. It has certainly helped his value though and he should grab a LF glove as well. He has a good approach at the plate but I just don’t think his lack of power plays at the MLB for more than a bench for piece.
I can’t wait to go check out another lucie mets game next week. Good to see the promotions to make up for me losing rosario and champ lol.
Cristopher Pujols 3rd baseman on the DSL Mets. Was he drafted or a IFA signing. Know he is low in the system but any projections on the type of player he could be.
