The B-Mets came into the Eastern League playoffs looking for just five wins to capture the championship and on Wednesday night they moved a step closer to that goal.
The B-Mets defeated Portland, 8-5, with a walk-off three run home run, off the bat of T.J. Rivera. What a way to start a playoff series.
Rivera almost single-handedly lead his team to victory by going 4 for 5, with two doubles, a home run, three runs scored and five RBI’s.
Rivera finished the season batting .358 in Double A and combined with St. Lucie, he batted .349 (202 for 453).
A great season for Rivera now turning into an amazing post season.
