Here’s how great Amed Rosario was this past season: not only was he Baseball America’s top ranked prospect in the Florida State League, he was also named Baseball America‘s seventh best Eastern League prospect for the 2016 season.

Rosario’s tremendous play in the Florida State League earned him a promotion to AA Binghamton where he was even better. In 54 games at Binghamton, Rosario hit .341/.392/.481 with 14 doubles, five triples, two  homers, 31 RBI, and six stolen bases.

In addition to Rosario being an offensive force, he further solidified his reputation as a tremendously gifted defensive shortstop, who could one day win multiple Gold Gloves in the major leagues. What makes Rosario’s stint in the Eastern League all the more incredible is the fact he was the youngest player in the entire league.

Between St. Lucie and Binghamton, Rosario hit .324/.374/.459 with 24 doubles, 13 triples, five homers, 71 RBI, and 19 stolen bases.

It should come as no surprise that Rosario was named to the Team World roster for the Future’s Game as as the Mets top prospect in the Mets Minors Midseason Top 50.
