The second game of the series between the Savannah Sand Gnats and the Charleston RiverDogs was played Saturday in front of 2,764 fans at Grayson Stadium.

Both teams had eight hits and Charleston won 4-1.

Savannah committed four errors and left 12 men on base and were 1-10 with runners in scoring position.

The RiverDogs got off to a quick start scoring two runs in the first inning, when Tyler Wade singled, stole second base, and scored on a double by Mike Ford.   A fielding error by Savannah second baseman Jorge Rivero, allowed Ford to score on a Miguel Andujar ground ball single.

In the 3rd inning for Charleston, Dustin Fowler doubled and scored on a fielding error by Savannah shortstop, Yeixon Ruiz.

Savannah scored their lone run in the 3rd inning when Ruiz reached first base on a fielders choice, and went to second on a wild pitch, eventually scoring on a single by Champ Stuart.

Charleston would add a run in the fourth inning on a bases loaded walk by Mike Ford.

For the Sand Gnats, Stuart was 2-for-5 with RBI raising his average to .302. Matt Oberste doubled in the 2nd inning to extend his hitting streak to 14 games.
