The final game of the series between the Savannah Sand Gnats and the Augusta GreenJackets, was played in front of 1,678 fans Sunday afternoon at Grayson Stadium.  Augusta managed five hits and Savannah only three in the GreenJackets 4-2 win.  The Sand Gnats committed four errors and all four of Augusta’s runs were unearned.

Leading off the game for Augusta was center fielder Chris Lofton, who singled and stole second and advanced to third on the throw from Savannah’s catcher Colton Plaia went into center field.  Lofton would later score in the inning on an infield single by Brandon Bednar.

With bases loaded in the seventh inning, Tyler Horan‘s single drove in two runs for Augusta.  They would add their final run in the eighth.

In bottom of the seventh, Savannah would get a run when Stefan Sabol scored on a double by Gavin Cecchini.
