EL – B’Mets

The 5-3 Binghamton Mets head a little further west to Akron, Ohio to take on the 7-3 RubberDucks. Coming off the 2-1 series victory against the Seawolves the bats are warming up. Three of Dominic Smith’s last 4 base hits have been of the extra base variety, Maikis De La Cruz has a 1.121 OPS on the season, and Victor Cruzado is getting on base at a healthy .423 clip.

The B’Mets pitching staff will be tested by the Cleveland Indians AA team. With 16 HR already in this young season, it is one loaded with talent, led by consensus top 100 prospects Clint Frazier and Bradley Zimmer.

Monday 18 April 6:35 PM – Rainy Lara (0-0, 0.00 ERA) vs Adam Plutko (1-1, 6.75)

Tuesday 19 April 6:35 PM – Mickey Jannis (1-0, 2.57) vs Shawn Morimando (2-0, 1.50)

Wednesday 20 April 6:35 PM – TBD vs Michael Peoples (1-0, 3.75)

SAL – Columbia Fireflies

Mets 4th Rounder <a rel=

The 5-6 Fireflies look to get above .500 hosting the first place Charleston RiverDogs. David Thompson (.324, 1, 11) carrying his 11 game hitting streak, and Vinny Siena (.324, 0, 3) lead the Fireflies offense into the series facing the same three pitchers from the first go around. It will be interesting to see how the team makes adjustments, in game and in series.

The RiverDogs sport some flight hitting flashy leather in the middle infield led by 2015 first round pick Kyle Holder, and million dollar Korean import Hoy Jun Park

Monday 18 April 7:05 PM – Joe Shaw (1-0, 3.00) vs Anelyo Gomez (0-0 5.40)

Tuesday 19 April 7:05 PM – Chase Ingram (1-0, 1.80) vs Josh Rogers (1-1, 2.45)

Wednesday 20 April 11:05 AM – P.J. Conlon (1-0, 1.69) vs Simon De La Rosa (0-1, 24.00)
