Tradition Field will play host for Camp Amazin’ on July 13th, which is a free camp available for physically and developmentally disabled children of any age.

St. Lucie players will be on hand to give the kids instruction from 10am to 2pm on the 13th. All participants will receive lunch, a medal, and a ticket to the game that night at 6:30pm. The goal of the camp is to teach the fundamentals of the game to all of the campers, while also providing them some life lessons.

I think this is a wonderful idea for a camp. I’m happy to see Camp Amazin’ gear up for its third year of existence and providing a service to disabled children.

For anyone in the Port St. Lucie area, you can find more information on Camp Amazin’ by checking out the registration form. Those interested can also contact Cassie Younce, Manager of Group Sales and Community Relations, at (772) 871-2100.
