With the Mets playing a 16 inning game last night and emptying their bullpen in the process, the team has called up Tyler Bashlor and Stephen Nogosek up from Triple-A Syracuse.

Bashlor last pitched for the Mets in June. In his 13 appearances at the Major League level, he had nine scoreless appearances. Overall, he was 0-3 with a 5.40 ERA, 1.457 WHIP, 5.4 BB/9, and a 9.3 K/9.

He made 12 appearances for Syracuse since his demotion. In those appearances, he was 1-1 with a 3.68 ERA, 1.227 WHIP, 3.1 BB/9, and a 10.4 K/9.

Nogosek made five appearances for the Mets in late June. In those five appearances, he had a 7.71 ERA, 1.929 WHIP, 3.9 BB/9, and a 5.8 K/9. Since being sent back down to Triple-A, he made five scoreless appearances with one walk and four strikeouts over 7.0 innings.

To make room for Bashlor and Nogosek on the Major League roster, Luis Guillorme and Chris Mazza were optioned to Triple-A Syracuse.

Since his last recall, Guillorme had only appeared in six games twice appearing as a pinch runner and going 1-for-4 as a pinch hitter.

Since the All-Star Break, Mazza has pitched in three of the Mets seven games including his having multi-inning appearances in the last two games. In his four Major League relief appearances, he’s 0-1 with a 5.19 ERA, 1.731 WHIP, 2.1 BB/9, and a 6.2 K/9.
