Noah Syndergaard

New York Mets fans can breathe a sigh of relief, as top pitching prospect Noah Syndergaard is expected to re-join the Las Vegas 51’s on June 5th.

Mike Puma of the New York Post tweeted on Friday, that Syndergaard has been long tossing and is expected to resume pitching for the 51’s next week.

Syndergaard who last pitched on May 21st, was placed on the Triple-A 7-Day disabled list with an apparent elbow injury.  The Mets had Syndergaard return to New York to see team doctors for a MRI, which luckily came back negative.

In a time where injuries to pitchers are plentiful, this news is promising and we shall all keep an eye on his next start and a few after that as he works his way up to the Mets, potentially later this summer unless more seasoning in Triple-A is warranted.
