Adam Rubin of ESPN NY Tweets that Terry Collins has confirmed that Anthony Seratelli will not make the Opening Day roster and as of today Omar Quintanilla will be the back-up shortstop.
Seratelli came real close to making the team, and even though he didn’t have a strong spring, I still felt he would be a good fit, especially a guy that can play almost every position. He would or even could still be someone the Mets can bring up to give some of the guys a breather now and then.
So now it is back to the minors, but something this summer, the Jersey native will finally get his opportunity. So in the mean time, the journey continues.
