Amed Rosario took a step in the right direction on Friday in only his fourth game with Savannah, as he homered and finished 1 for 5, with a run scored and one RBI, but did strike out twice and now has nine in 18 at bats.
Rosario is still a work in progress, but shows he can handle himself in low Class A. Exciting things to come for this top prospect.

Top prospect Amed Rosario, who joined the Sand Gnats on May 29th from extended spring training, hits his first home run with no one out in the top of the 4th inning, to extend the Savannah lead over Charleston to 4-2 at the time.
Coming into Friday’s game, Rosario was batting .077 (1 for 13) and seven strike outs.
So far he is 1 for 2, with a run scored, home run and RBI, while playing third base.
More to come once game is complete.
Last night I attended the game in Charleston and Rosario played shortstop. He made several good fielding plays, and has a strong, accurate throw to first.
Rosario has an extremely strong platform to build off of. Lots of incredible raw tools here.
