The Arizona Fall League All Star game was held on Sunday afternoon. In the game, the National League won decisively by the score of 9-3.  Box Score

Two Mets prospects, pitchers Mike Vasil and Josh Walker, were selected to be on the National League roster. However, Walker was the only one of the two to appear in the game:

Unfortunately, Walker’s appearance did not quite go as planned. He came into the game in the second inning and quickly got the first batter he faced to line out on two pitches. He got two strikes ahead on the next batter, but ended up allowing a double to left field. After striking out T.J. Rumfield to get the second out of the inning, it looked like he might get out of the inning unscathed, but back-to-back doubles (with a wild pitch mixed in) brought home two runs and gave the American League a 2-1 lead before the final out could be recorded.

In the Dominican Winter League (LIDOM), the Tigres del Licey lost 6-5 in walk-off fashion on Sunday evening.  Box Score

Ronny Mauricio was the only Met to appear in LIDOM action on Sunday:

Overall, it was a fairly unproductive day for Mauricio. He came up with runners in scoring position twice on Sunday: in the fifth inning with two outs and a runner on second base; and then again with one out and runners on second and third in the seventh. He grounded out to the pitcher to end the inning in the fifth inning, while he struck out in his seventh inning at bat. Mauricio had more success in his fifth and final at bat of the game. Coming up in the ninth inning with a runner on first, he singled and then scored three batters later. In the field, Mauricio made one error out of three chances.

Mauricio has cooled off a bit over the last couple of weeks, but he still leads the league in hits, doubles, runs batted in, and stolen bases. His .860 OPS also ranks seventh in the league.
