Who’s Hot:

Maikis De La Cruz – St. Lucie

Maikis has hit in 6 of his last 7 games. During this recent stretch, he’s batting .345 (10 for 29) with 2 doubles and 2 RBI.

Jared King – St. Lucie.

Jared was a 5th round pick in the 2013 draft. The St. Lucie outfielder is coming off 4 straight two hit games, during which he’s hitting .444 (8 for 18) with 3 doubles, 1 HR, and 5 RBI.

John Gant – Savannah.

The 21st round pick in the 2011 draft has been bringing it all season. He’s 10-5 on the year with a 2.55 ERA in 19 starts. In his last three starts dating back to July 20th, John is 1-0 with a 0.47 ERA. In 19 innings, he’s allowed 9 hits, 7 walks, and 22 K’s while allowing just 1 run to go with a 0.84 WHIP.

Robert Gsellman – Savannah.

The 13th round pick in the 2011 draft has also been bringing it for the Sand Gnats. No to be outdone by Gant, in 17 starts, Robert is 9-5 with a 2.45 ERA. In his last three starts dating back to July 18th, he’s 2-1 with a 0.83 ERA. In 21.2 innings, he’s allowed 18 hits, 3 walks, 21 K’s while allowing 2 runs and a 0.97 WHIP.

Akeel Morris – Savannah.

Akeel hasn’t allowed a hit since July 17th. In his last 9 games dating back to July 4th out of the pen, Akeel has pitched 10.2 innings, allowing 1 hit, 4 walks, and striking out 17 while notching 6 saves. On the season, he’s 4-0 with 12 saves and a 0.74 ERA in 33 games in relief. Batters are hitting just .101 against him and he’s stuck out 75 batters in 48.1 innings.

Michael Conforto – Brooklyn. After going 0 for his previous 8, this year’s first round pick had a power packed weekend against the Oneonta Tigers – hitting hit first two professional home runs and going 3 for 6 with 3 runs scored, 3 RBI, and 2 walks. On the season, Michael is hitting .362 (21 for 58) with 5 doubles, 2 HR, and 9 RBI.

Cody Satterwhite – Binghamton.

Cody hasn’t been scored upon since June. In his last 9 appearances out of the Binghamton pen through August 3rd, he’s notched 6 saves while tossing 9.2 innings, allowing 7 hits, walking 2 and striking out 14.

Brian Burgamy – Binghamton.

The 13 year minor league veteran has played in 1,365 minor league games without ever making an appearance in the majors. During that time, he’s hit 166 minor league home runs and collected 1,307 hits. He’s hit in 9 of his last 10 games, batting .385 (15 for 39) during that stretch, with 8 runs scored 4 doubles, 1 HR, and 4 RBI.

T.J. Rivera – Binghamton. Since his promotion from St. Lucie where he was hitting .341 in 60 games, Rivera has been even hotter in Binghamton. Through August 2nd, he was batting .372 with 42 hits in 30 games. While T.J had he a 10 game hitting streak snapped on Sunday, during his latest streak he hit .450 (18 for 40) with 6 runs scored, 5 doubles, and 8 RBI.

Gonzalez Germen – Las Vegas.

Since being sent down from the big club, Gonzalez has been performing in the Pacific Coast League. Through August 2nd, in 9 games since being sent down, he’s 2-0 with 2 saves and a 0.00 ERA. In 10.1 innings, he’s allowed 9 hits while walking 2 and striking out 10.

Noah Syndergaard – Las Vegas.

Thor has been solid in his last three outings, going 1-0 with a 0.52 ERA. In his three starts, he’s pitched 17.1 innings, allowing 17 hits, 2 runs (1 earned) with 5 walks and 20 K’s.

Matt Reynolds – Las Vegas.

The 2nd round pick of the 2012 draft and possible future shortstop in on a 10 game hitting streak entering action on August 3rd. During the streak, Matt has been on fire, batting .514 (19 for 37) with 8 runs scored, 3 HR, and 10 RBI.

Who’s Not:

Luis Cessa – St. Lucie.

The 22 year old righty from Veracruz, Mexico has had a tough time as of late. In his last two starts on July 27th and August 3rd, he’s gone 0-1 with an 8.71 ERA in 10.1 innings, allowing 13 hits, 2 walks, 9 K’s, 2 HR’s, and 10 runs, all earned.

Phillip Evans – St. Lucie.

The 21 year old infielder was a 15th round pick of the Mets in the 2011 draft and is in his 4th season in the organization. Mired in a slump, Philip is 0 for his last 17 and in his last 11 games, he’s batting ,056 (2 for 36). On the season, he’s batting .239 in 85 games between St. Lucie and the Gulf Coast League Mets.

Hunter Carnevale – Savannah.

The righty from California was a 33rd round pick of the Mets in the 2010 draft and is in his 5th season in the Mets organization. His last two outings out of the pen have been a little rough, allowing home runs in both games. In 2.2 innings, he’s allowed 5 hits, 4 runs, 2 walks and 2 strikeouts.

Leon Canelon – Kingsport.

The Venezuelan Second Baseman is in his 4th season in the Mets organization, previously playing for the Gulf Coast League Mets and the Dominican Summer League Mets. He’s had just 1 hit since July 22nd, and is just 1 for his last 18 (.056). On the season, he’s batting .177 in 26 games.

Ivan Wilson – Kingsport.

The Mets 3rd round pick in the 2013 draft is struggling in his second season in the Mets organization. In his last 5 games, he’s 0 for 15 with 13 strikeouts. On the season, he’s batting .178 (21 for 118) with 64 strikeouts.
