Cesar Puello

Who’s Hot

Cesar Puello, Las Vegas 51s

Puello is finally starting to heat up as he is batting a strong .310 (9 for 29) in his last ten games. He has two doubles and a home run during that span, which doubled the amount of extra base hits he had on the season before this hot streak. He’s scored six runs and has three RBI’s during this span as well. Walking isn’t a part of Puello’s game as of right now but he has three during this current hot streak. He’s even sprinkled in two stolen bases.

Matthew Bowman, Binghamton Mets

Matt Bowman has made six starts this season and five of the six have been very, very good. One of them was absolutely terrible (9 ER in 4.1 IP), which don’t do his statistics on the season much justice. Regardless of that one rough start, Bowman’s last two have been solid. In these two starts he’s thrown a combined 12 innings, allowing two earned runs on 11 hits. During this streak, he’s punched out 14 batters and only walked three.

Kevin Plawecki, Binghamton Mets

Batting a scorching hot .415 (17 for 41) in his last ten games, Kevin Plawecki refuses to cool down. He’s driven in 14 runs with three doubles and a home run during his current hot streak. The only thing he is not doing is walking. He has one in his last ten games and just five total on the season.

Who’s Not

Dustin Lawley, Binghamton Mets

Dustin Lawley is just 5 for his last 30 (.167 AVG) during his last 10 games and is batting an ice cold .192 this season. He needs to cut down on his strikeouts as he has 12 in his last ten games and 34 in 130 AB’s. He does have three doubles and a home run in his last 10 games but he only has one other hit. Right now, it’s feast or famine for Lawley.

Allan Dykstra, Las Vegas 51s

After a very hot start to the season, Dykstra is just 6 for his last 31 (.194 AVG). He’s managed to draw seven walks to match his seven strikeouts and club two home runs but he’s not doing much else. Like Lawley, it’s been feast or famine as of late for Allan Dykstra.

Erik Goeddel, Las Vegas 51s

Goeddel has been manhandled in relief as of last. In 3.1 innings pitched spanning three different appearances, Goeddel has allowed four earned runs on six hits, including a home run. He’s also walked five batters during that span and only struck out three.
