UPDATE – The Bravos de Margarita released a statement saying Flores is having his left ankle evaluated and could miss the rest of the Venezuelan League season.
Wilmer Flores left the game last night in the bottom of the first inning for a defensive replacement after grounding into a double play to end the top half of the inning. It was said at the time to be precautionary, this was his fourth game back after being out since November 26th when he was hit on the left heel/ankle by a pitch.
Flores is 4 for 14 with two doubles, homerun, two RBI, five runs scored, and two walks in five games for the Bravos de Margarita in the Venezuelan League. He has played three games at second base and the last two at third.
