The Indios de Mayaguez lost last night 5-2 to the Cangrejeros de Santurce in the Puerto Rican playoffs. T.J. Rivera went 3 for 4 with a strikeout for the Indios, he is now hitting .321 during the playoffs.

Johnny Monell was 1 for 3 for the Indios out of the cleanup spot. He is now 2 for 7 in the championship round after hitting .341 in the 12-game round robin first round.

Xorge Carrillo was 0 for 3 with a strikeout last night for the Aguilas de Mexicali in their 1-0 loss to the Venados de Mazatlan. Carrillo is now batting .318 during the playoffs with six doubles and four RBI.

The Leones del Escogido won 7-6 last night on a walk-off hit to take a commanding 4-0 series lead in the best-of-9 over the Tigres del Licey. They can win the Dominican League championship tonight with a victory, giving them a place in the Caribbean Series.
