Zack Wheeler is expected to return to the Las Vegas 51s starting rotation tomorrow against the Iowa Cubs. He has been temporarily sidelined after reporting soreness in his right clavicle last week. The Mets’ top prospect was flown out to New York to get his injury checked out, and was diagnosed with inflammation in the AC Joint of his right shoulder. So, he was given a cortisone shot, and thankfully is only missing one start.
Greg Peavey, a fellow pitcher on the 51s, caught Zack passing the time while making a little snack in the clubhouse, as you can see below. I’m sure Wheeler is chomping at the bit to get back out on the mound tomorrow!
