The Binghamton Rumble Ponies (4-3) continue their first homestand of the the season at NYSEG Stadium against the Erie SeaWolves.
The St. Lucie Mets (3-5) will host the renamed Florida Fire Frogs for three games this weekend.
The red-hot Columbia Fireflies (6-2) are taking on the Augusta GreenJackets for three more games this weekend in their first road trip of the season.

METS MINORS NEWS & BUZZ
The Mets signed 1B Cody Decker to a minor-league deal on Monday. The 30-year-old has hit 173 home runs in his eight year minor league career and played for Team Israel in the 2017 World Baseball Classic.
Columbia Fireflies RHP Colin Holderman struck out 11 batters on Monday, setting a single-game franchise record. The previous mark of ten was reached four times last season.
Mets first base prospect Peter Alonso was placed on the disabled list for the St. Lucie Mets with a broken right hand after getting hit by a pitch.
Amed Rosario was named the #1 prospect in all of baseball by Keith Law in his updated rankings.

PROSPECT PULSE
Our own Corne Hogeveen had the opportunity to chat with Mets 2016 5th round pick Colby Woodmansee. Here are a few quotes from the shortstop:
MMO – How did the process go when you got drafted by the Mets?
Colby – Draft day was an emotional roller coaster to be honest! Hearing different things of where I was going to get drafted and then it not happen and things just changing by the minute was crazy. My family and girlfriend was with me when I got the news of getting drafted by the Mets. It was an awesome experience to share with my family.
MMO – Can you give us a quick scouting report with your strengths and weaknesses?
Colby – My strengths are defense, arm strength, and gap-to-gap power. Weaknesses would be strikeouts and speed. Reducing my strikes and putting the ball in play more is something I need to improve on and will.
MMO – What is the biggest adjustment you had to make from college ball to playing for the Brooklyn Cyclones in your pro debut?
Colby – The biggest adjustment for me was playing everyday for that long at a time. After playing every game that season in college to almost playing every game with Cyclones it became a grind. I became exhausted after the all-star break, so I would say that was the biggest adjustment for me.
MMO – What was it like to play College ball at Arizona State?
Colby – Playing at Arizona state was a dream come true. Growing up I always wanted to play at ASU since I grew up 15 minutes away. And going to watch the games on the weekends with my dad when I was younger made me want to go there even more. Going to school and playing at ASU was the best decision I ever made and I enjoyed every minute of it.
PLAYER OF THE WEEK
This week’s award is split between Columbia Fireflies infielder Luis Carpio and right-handed starter Jordan Humphreys.
Carpio, 19, coming off a season in which he played only 20 games as a DH coming off shoulder surgery the young infielder has starter the season on fire. Carpio has hit .414/.514/.458 with four stolen bases, five RBI and a league leading ten runs. Maybe even more important is the fact that his arm has felt strong enough to play two games at short in addition to six at second.
Humphreys, 20, has struck out 18 batters compared to only one walk in 12.2 innings during his first two starts of the season for Columbia. The right-hander has allowed only one earned run on six hits in that span and picked up two wins. The Mets drafted Humphreys in the 18th round of the 2015 draft from Crystal River Florida. He has a good pitchers frame at 6’2”, 225 pounds, throws a heavy fastball, clean mechanics, good command and has shown off an improving changeup.
