Mets Minors Weekly Review: 51s Roster Revealed, Six Players Released

Last night was the start of what should be a great season for the Mets, of course it didn’t start like we all hope but it’s just one game. Now we have to deal with three off days and only one game, thank you MLB schedule maker.

Yesterday the Las Vegas 51s released their initial roster for the 2016 season with the most surprising omissions being Jayce Boyd and Duane Below. Will be interesting to see how playing time is split between shortstops Gavin Cecchini and Matt Reynolds.

Jacob took  a look at how important the Mets young core will be the potential success of the 2016 big league team.

I had a chance to talk with Mets pitching prospect and 2015 draftee Thomas McIlraith who will being the seaosn with the Columbia Fireflies.
