In less than two weeks the Mets will finally start the 2016 regular season and only four days later all of full season minor league teams will have their season openers.

We shocked everyone yesterday when we announced that left-hander Steven Matz was our #1 prospect in the Top 80 countdown. The rest of the top 5 was Amed Rosario (#2), Dominic Smith (#3), Gavin Cecchini (#4), and Brandon Nimmo (#5). You can catch up on the entire list here.

Dilson Herrera helped Team Colombia go 3-0 in the World Baseball Classic qualifier including hitting a game-winning homerun in the championship game.

MiLB looked at the under-22 talent throughout Major League Baseball and gave each team a grade.

We took a look at how both the minor league pitchers and hitters have done so far this spring training.

Our panel of writers came up with the best tools in the Mets farm system for pitchers including the fastball of Josh Smoker and the breaking ball from Dario Alvarez.

The Mets made a large number of cuts from big league camp last week with Smoker and Herrera being the headliners.

This week at MMN we will start rolling out who we think will be on each of the four full season minor league teams starting with the Las Vegas 51’s on Tuesday.
