Good night for starting pitching in the Mets system, I have been very impressed by the curveball of Ingram so far. Jannis knuckleball looked good in his first outing too, great late movement.
Josh Edgin with a 1-2-3 first inning in his 4th rehab appearance, needed only 9 pitches.
Luis Guillorme and Amed Rosario singled in the first but were stranded there.
Jannis doesn’t have command of the knuckleball tonight, B-Mets down 2-0 in the first.
Wuilmer Becerra singled in his first at bat tonight, been swinging the bat much better such coming back from injury.
Amed Rosario just hit his 4th triple of the season, already led the league with three. Scored on single by Michael Katz for St. Lucie to go up 1-0.
Becerra with a two-run double, he is on a tear right now. Has reached base 7 times in his last 3 games.
RF of the future
Reminds me of Jose Reyes
I really hope so, still has a few things to work on with his swing and pitch recognition but he certainly has the skills.
He will be in Bingy soon enough.
Might go down as one of the best trades in history
I think it already is the best in Mets history, could be one of the best in baseball if Becerra becomes everyday RF.
I think so too, although would be nice to see him walk a little more.
Agreed
Milton Ramos gets the first hit of the night for Columbia (single in the 3rd), they trail 3-0 headed to the 4th inning.
B-Mets down 4-0, Jannis knuckleball is a little wild tonight and offense doesn’t have a hit yet.
B-Mets are being no-hit through 5 innings, that team is going to struggle all year to score runs.
Mickey Jannis day is done after only 4 innings for Binghamton, allowed four runs on five hits and three walks.
They need Rosario LOL
B-Mets finally get a hit, RBI double by L.J. Mazzilli.
Followed by a run scoring single for Derrik Gibson and the B-Mets are down 4-2 int he 6th.
Fireflies offense is non-existent tonight, just two hits through 5 innings as they trail 4-0.
B-Mets down 7-2 headed to the 7th inning, rough 6th inning for Binghamton reliever Kelly Secrest.
B-Mets, St. Lucie and Columbia all lose.
T.J. Rivera making his first start of the year at 1B and Kelly his first at 3B.
