Shervyen Newton made his pro debut at first base, he has also played nine games at third and three at shortstop.
Has anyone seen or heard any velocity readings on Edgin recently?
Last I heard it was still low (high 80s/topping out at around 91), but that was probably a week ago
Anyone else have Church above Flexen?
I heard 90-92, still getting hitters out though which is a good sign for his slider.
It’s especially a good sign for the slider considering he’s pitching in Vegas, where breaking balls don’t have as much movement. I really can’t imagine that Edgin would be any worse than Bastardo at this point. Of course Bastardo’s going to get as many chances as possible because of that contract
Right around the same..late teens early 20s…slight edge to Flexen because he had slightly more ability to miss bats pre-surgery
Agreed I have Flexen slightly ahead because I think he has better command right now.
It’s nice to see Church getting it done. I wold imagine he and Conlon will be getting close to there innings limits for the year soon. Maybe 1 is traded this week for a reliever
