All P.J. Conlon (7-1, 1.21 ERA) has done this year is dominate the league. Finally he is being recognized for it after throwing 10 innings of four-hit ball against a talented Hagerstown Suns team. Conlon carried a no-hitter into the seventh, and finished in efficient fashion, with 97 total pitches.

He was named the South Atlantic League Pitcher of the Week and has also been selected to the all-star roster.

His game score of 86 is the highest of any pitcher within the Mets organization this year. Steven Matz has the next highest with 83, when he struck out eight Braves in 7.2 innings of work allowing two hits on May 4.

The crafty lefty continues to demonstrate there is no reason for him to be in Columbia any longer. The competition is not able to make solid contact as Conlon continues to mix in his four pitch arsenal. I believe he may not be truly tested until he reaches Binghamton where opposing hitters will pick up spin better and make him work.
