Mets outfield prospect Travis Taijeron received the organization’s John J. Murphy Award, given annually to the team’s top rookie in major league spring training camp. Taijeron batted .368 with a .432 OBP and .658 slugging percentage for the Mets with two home runs and team-high 11 RBIs in 38 at-bats.
