Las Vegas 51s (42-37) 7 vs. Tacoma Rainiers 3 BOX SCORE

The 51s won the series opener against Tacoma. The 51s collected ten hits, three of them went over the wall for a home run.

Since being demoted to the 51s Conforto has hit in all four games. Johnny Monell went 2 for 5 with his twelfth homerun of the year, a solo shot in the sixth. He has hit five homeruns in the last ten games. His twelve home runs is tied for the club lead with Travis Taijeron. Ty Kelly had a 2 for 5 game with a double and a RBI, he is hitting .377 in the PCL.

Gorski pitched great in his second start since returning to the Mets organization.

Before the game T.J. Rivera, Travis Taijeron and Gabriel Ynoa were named PCL All stars. The Mets also announced that Seth Lugo was promoted to the Mets, Sean Gilmartin was send back to the 51s

New Hampshire Fisher Cats 4 vs. Binghamton Mets (33-44) 2 BOX SCORE

The Binghamton Mets managed to collect only five hits total as they drop the series opener against New Hampshire.

All the offense came from the second, third and fourth hitters in the lineup. Jose Reyes went 0 for 4 with a strikeout but made several good defensive plays at third base. Smith drove in his 51st run of the year, he is batting .316 over his last ten games. Rosario has been great since joining the Binghamton Mets, he’s hit safely in all seven games, with a multi-hit game in four of those seven.

Casey Delgado got some great defense behind him, the only error made was by himself which cost him a run. Stefan Sabol threw out a runner at first base. Binghamton turned three double plays in the game and Delgado picked off a runner.

Before the game Matt Oberste, Logan Taylor and Tyler Pill were named Eastern League All Stars

St. Lucie Mets vs. Charlotte Stone Crabs was suspended with two outs in the bottom of the sixth. Game is tied at three, Kevin Taylor hit a homerun and drove in three. Chris Flexen had allowed just one earned run.

West Virginia Power 4 vs. Columbia Fireflies (38-40) 2 BOX SCORE

The Fireflies dropped the series opener against West Virginia. The Fireflies collected just five hits in the loss.

It was the fourth straight start that Canelon allowed three earned runs. Canelon has been very consistent, he has not allowed more than three earned runs in every start this season.

State College Spikes 10 vs. Brooklyn Cyclones (6-8) 4 BOX SCORE

The Cyclones lost their second in a row against State College. The Cyclones collected eight hits and struck out twelve times, ten of them against Cardinals 2014 second round pick Ronnie Williams.

Huertas has now allowed fourteen runs in his last 9.1 innings pitched in two starts to begin his 2016 season.

The Kingsport Mets won just their second game of the season belting out 14 hits in the victory. The Kingsport Mets scored three in the third and seventh.

Jeremy Wolf, the Mets 31st round pick this year, hit his first career homerun and drove in his first career RBIs. Ricardo Cespedes had a three-hit game but struck out twice to give him eleven in six games played this season.

Mets 16th round pick Trent Johnson had his second scoreless outing and Jose Carlos Medina pitched two scoreless to preserve Kingsport their second win. Jordan Humphreys got his first career win in his second career start. In nine outings and 22.1 career innings between GCL Mets and Kingsport, Humphreys has pitched to an 1.99 ERA.

GCL Mets (2-4) 4 vs. GCL Cardinals 2 F/7 BOX SCORE

The GCL Mets got their second win of the year. The GCL Mets collected twelve hits with seven of the nine starters collecting at least one.

Lagrange has started this season with a five-game hitting streak. Miguel Patino had his second three-hit game in three starts. Lagrange drove in two, the other two RBIs came from Reed Gamache and Kenneth Bautista.

Luis De Los Santos has pitched ten innings with the GCL Mets without allowing a walk, pitching to a 0.90 ERA allowing just a run on seven hits. St. John’s product Joe Napolitano made his pro debut with his first save. The GCL Mets played some great defense, Kenneth Bautista had two outfield assist, gunning down a runner at third and second. Ranfy Adon also threw out a runner at third in the victory.

DSL Indians 4 vs. DSL Mets1 (10-12) 3 BOX SCORE

The DSL Mets1 tied the game in the bottom of the eight but could not get the victory while outhitting the DSL Indians 8-7.

Briam Campusano made his fifth appearance (fourth start) this season. Campusano is 0-2 with a 2.95 ERA but has already allowed seven unearned runs. In 18.1 innings in his first season he allowed just 17 hits and four walks. Ivan Santana keeps striking out hitters,  the lefty has 25 strikeouts in 17 innings pitched this season. In his career he has struck out 64 in 54.1 innings, while posting a 2.82 ERA.

The DSL Mets2 lost their 16th game of the season collecting just six hits in the loss.
